This was originated in Memphis, Tennessee as part of a local outreach and educational organization.

Including Monthly Meetings Every 1st Saturday of the Month, 2:00PM

We do socializing, fun, networking and planning together.

Key points to about our Food Awareness group:

  • Dedicated to promoting public awareness about the many benefits of eating more of a plant based diet. 
    (We don't push a vegetarian diet as the only choice, but try to inform people of impact of diet and need for moderation)
     
  • All the reference info we share with people comes from credible and cited sources
  • Group has been established and active over 5 years
  • Setup booths at major public events to distribute free literature
    (Cooper Young Fest, Earth Day, etc.)
  •  Attend health oriented public events and handout free literature
    ( Race for the Cure, Heart Walk, etc.)
  • Provided presentations for numerous community groups
    (Churches, Civic Groups, U of M, etc.)
  • Distribute monthly email newsletters to over 700 people locally and have monthly meetings.
  • Our website has a wealth of current food related information from A-Z. 
  • We don't sell anything.  All literature we hand out is provided free.
